Educational Background

I hold a degree in Economics with a heavy math focus from Hillsdale College in Michigan, where I developed a deep appreciation for structured problem-solving and quantitative analysis. From the start, I’ve been drawn to making ideas tangible through numbers, visuals, or code. Economics also taught me that every decision involves trade-offs and opportunity costs, a perspective I carry into data, marketing, and problem-solving: understanding the costs, benefits, and best paths forward is key to making meaningful impact.

Building Systems, From Film to VFX

My professional journey began in cinematography, where I earned a master’s degree in Los Angeles at the top of my class. For nearly a decade, I worked on feature films, commercials, and music videos, leading lighting and camera teams of 5–25 people to bring ambitious visions to life for producers and directors.

Filmmaking taught me to think in systems. Designing complex lighting setups required precise calculations, balancing principles like the inverse square law for light falloff, exposure workflows across multiple cameras, and color temperature matching. Managing these technical systems alongside dozens of personalities sharpened my ability to lead teams, solve problems under pressure, and orchestrate complex projects. Every choice required weighing trade-offs—time, resources, and impact—echoing the analytical mindset I honed studying economics.

A back injury eventually prompted me to re-imagine how I could apply my skills in new ways. During this transition, I explored visual effects, discovering that the post-production pipeline is fundamentally data manipulation, which sparked my curiosity for programming and structured workflows in data.

From VFX to Software Development

In 2018, I taught myself Python to create software plugins for Blender 3D, merging creativity and code in ways that expanded what artists could do in their workflows. What started as personal projects quickly grew into something bigger: I founded LightArchitect LLC, building a company that combined software development, creative problem-solving, and collaboration with technical 3D artists.

Over time, I developed more than seven software products, each designed to streamline complex VFX processes or empower artists to work faster and more intuitively. Leading these projects required not just coding skill, but managing teams, coordinating development pipelines, and translating creative ideas into functional software, eventually generating six-figure annual revenue.

Marketing with Insight

Running a software business meant constantly thinking about marketing. I honed my skills in content marketing, giving value first to build trust, and strategically leveraging advertising to scale my platforms to a cumulative 70,000+ followers and subscribers.

As I grew more sophisticated in marketing, I started diving into the data behind the decisions. I began structuring, cleaning, and visualizing data using Tableau, Power BI, and Python to identify trends and optimize campaigns.

Data Analysis & Machine Learning

This exploration into the world of data sparked a full pivot to data analytics and machine learning. I expanded my Python skills into ML frameworks like TensorFlow, PyTorch, Scikit-Learn, and Pandas, and learned SQL, Airflow, and other tools for data pipelines.

I discovered that the quantitative thinking from economics directly applies to predictive modeling, analytics, and AI, allowing me to approach business problems with a unique lens. You can view a few projects on my github here.

Automated Marketing & Data Pipelines

I’ve also explored smart automation. I enjoy streamlining processes where it makes sense while keeping the human touch where it matters. Using tools like n8n, I’ve built AI-driven systems to optimize content distribution and marketing pipelines across platforms:

  • Reddit automation: Automatically posting campaigns and generating captions for relevant subreddits, keeping engagement consistent without sacrificing quality.

  • Instagram AI agents: Fully automating posts for my software products, with AI-generated captions that maintain an authentic voice.

  • Telegram-to-Instagram automation: Converting user input from Telegram into automated posts on Instagram, connecting audience interaction to timely content delivery.

  • Data Pipelines: I’ve learned Airflow for data pipeline orchestration, including designing ETL pipelines with Python to support scalable data workflows and future machine learning projects.

Today, I’m looking for my next opportunity in the world of data, marketing, or creative media. I love to help businesses scale through insight, strategy, and execution. My multifaceted background in media, software, and analytics, paired with a relentless curiosity, allows me to see solutions others might miss.

I enjoy building, analyzing, and optimizing systems, whether it’s through creative storytelling, marketing strategy, or data-driven insights; and I’m ready to bring that energy to a team that values results and innovation.

Let’s build something remarkable together.
